The wood of the stone pine is mainly known for its very special smell and is said to help with falling asleep due to its essential oils. For Franz-Josef Haas from Bad Hindelang, the stone pine is his wood of choice. Because in his workshop, he uses exclusively stone pine wood. And that actually only by chance. He never learned to work with it professionally. And yet, there is a lot of fun and passion for craftsmanship behind his work.
