The first BMW iX - electric all-wheel drive and wheel slip limitation close to the actuator

Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

The electric all-wheel drive of the BMW iX ensures the ideally dosed transfer of drive torque to the front and rear wheels in every driving situation. Its intelligent control enables fully variable power transmission from pure, highly efficient rear-wheel drive to all-wheel drive regulated for maximum traction. The actuator-near wheel slip limitation, used for the first time in conjunction with all-wheel drive, ensures additional optimization of traction and driving stability. The system integrated in the motor control guarantees particularly fast and precise control interventions. In this way, even under adverse weather and road conditions, a confident forward thrust is always ensured. The BMW iX xDrive50 sprints from zero to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds. The BMW iX xDrive40 can accelerate from standstill to 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds
