Jack Black has set a Billboard record with "Steve's Lava Chicken," a 34-second song from "A Minecraft Movie," entering the Hot 100 for the first time. At just 34 seconds, the song is the shortest ever to chart, surpassing Kid Cudi's 37-second song "Beautiful Trip," which previously held the record. The song, entering at number 77 on the charts, plays during a scene where Steve explains to a confused group how to cook chicken with lava. This is Black's second song from a video game movie on the charts after "Peaches" from "The Super Mario Bros Movie" of 2023, which landed at number 56. To emphasize the meme-friendly atmosphere of the film, Warner Bros. has launched "Block Party" screenings where fans are encouraged to react loudly during the movie. "A Minecraft Movie" is currently the highest-grossing Hollywood film of 2025 with a worldwide box office of over $800 million.
