Hawaii's Kilauea volcano registered a renewed increase in incandescence and volcanic activity on Sunday, November 23, indicating the start of a new eruptive phase. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) warned that continued inflation, brightness, and spattering in the vents suggest that "another episode of lava fountains is likely" between November 22 and 26.
