X marks the spot: Salvagers find 1,000 gold and silver coins off Florida's Treasure Coast

In an incredible discovery right out of a movie, salvager group Queens Jewels, LLC recently announced they found over 1,000 gold and silver coins dating back 300 years off of Florida's Treasure Coast. The treasure, worth about $1 million, came from the wreck of the Spanish Empire's 'Treasure Fleet', which was destroyed in July 1715 by a hurricane as it attempted to carry $400 million worth of treasures taken from the Americas back to Spain.
