Due to littering: Hanover removes all old clothes containers

The city of Hanover wants to dismantle all 520 old clothes containers by the end of October 2025. The reason is the increasing littering of the locations, where bulky waste is even illegally dumped regularly. Old textiles are often placed next to the containers. This sometimes restricts the use of sidewalks and cycle paths and can attract vermin.
