French far-right regains posts in Assembly vice-presidency
After being left out of the National Assembly's executive body last year, the National Rally has regained influence, securing two of the six vice-presidencies. RN MPs Sébastien Chenu and Hélène Laporte, who had already served as vice-presidents between 2022 and 2024, return to their posts with support from both their own ranks and part of the broader voting base. Clémence Guetté and Nadège Abomangoli (La France Insoumise) also hold onto their seats, while Christophe Blanchet (MoDem) and Marie-Agnès Poussier-Winsback (Horizons) newly elected. IMAGES
