Aid trucks en route to Gaza arrive at the Kerem Shalom crossing

Trucks carrying food aid arrive at the Kerem Shalom crossing on May 19 after an initial five trucks were authorised by the Israeli army to enter the Gaza Strip, the first aid to be admitted in an easing of a total blockade imposed on March 2. On May 19 the UN was authorised to send nine trucks into Gaza in what UN officials have described "a drop in the ocean" of needs. IMAGES
