Senior UN official urges action 'to prevent genocide' in Gaza

United Nations relief chief Tom Fletcher on Tuesday called on the UN Security Council to take action "to prevent genocide" in Gaza, after Israel announced its military was resuming "full force" operations in the Palestinian territory. "For those killed and those whose voices are silenced: what more evidence do you need now?" asked Fletcher in a briefing where he detailed Israel's "inhumane" actions in Gaza to the council.
