The new Volvo EX30 - Fixed panoramic glass roof for Volvo EX30 Ultra

The fixed panoramic glass roof, which comes as standard in the Volvo EX30 Ultra, ensures a light-flooded interior. The absence of an opening function enabled a particularly generous design: the glass roof extends from the windshield to the rear and across the entire width of the roof. This gives all passengers a special feeling of spaciousness and lightness. Despite the large surface area, the panoramic roof is characterized by its low weight. The dark-tinted high-tech laminated glass has a light transmission of just 3.9 percent and makes the use of a sun visor superfluous: It blocks around 80 percent of the sun's rays and thus provides effective protection against bright light and UV radiation. This also reduces the work of the air conditioning system, which in turn has a positive effect on the vehicle's range. In addition, the glass is laminated, which not only reduces the noise level in the interior, but also increases break resistance and thus burglary protection.
