England: Aston Villa parts ways with Gerrard

Aston Villa has announced the parting of ways with team manager Steven Gerrard after a poor start to the season. After the 0:3 defeat against Fulham in the Premier League, the former Liverpool professional has to pack his bags again. Gerrard had taken over the Birmingham club at the end of 2021. Villa is currently in 17th place. Mauricio Pochettino, Unai Emery and ex-Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel are being considered as possible successors.
