Serious scenes in the stadium: Violent riots overshadowed the Conference League debut of 1. FC Cologne at OGC Nice. Supporters of the Bundesliga clubs had invaded the home fans' stand. One fan is in an extremely critical condition, several fans from both sides were injured. UEFA postponed the kick-off to 7.40 pm. FC captain Hector subsequently appealed to the fans, and the club condemned the riots via Twitter.
