Record inflation - now prices are literally exploding

Driven by massive jumps in energy prices, inflation in Germany has now risen to its highest level since reunification. Consumer prices were now a full 7.3 percent above the level of the same month last year, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office on Tuesday. Consumers feel the increased inflation at the moment, especially when refueling and heating, but also in the supermarket.
