The German railway company must change its timetables around two to three million times this year, which has significant implications for passengers. A supervisory board member described the situation to the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" as a "huge problem" and spoke of a "loss of control". The cause of this is the poorly maintained rail network over decades, which is increasingly leading to slow-moving sections to prevent accidents.
