A recent survey has revealed the times when Germans prefer to have sex and how this changes depending on age and place of residence. The survey by t-online shows that almost one in five people between the ages of 18 and 49 have sex on Saturdays, followed by one in ten on Sundays. Weekend days are considered to be the sexiest days of the week due to peace and quiet and time. The survey also shows age-dependent preferences, with almost one in ten 18 to 29-year-olds having sex on Mondays. For 30 to 39-year-olds, it's on Thursdays and for 40 to 49-year-olds it's on Wednesdays. There are also differences between East and West in the preferred times of day for sex, with East Germans preferring it in the morning (6 to 10 a.m.). West Germans tend to prefer the evening hours between 6 and 10 pm. 42% of respondents in committed relationships say that they tend to have sex spontaneously, while only 6% agree on fixed dates.
