For the first time in its 59-year history, Mercedes‑AMG is developing a full-size SUV entirely in-house and from the ground up. The new Mercedes‑AMG GT SUV is the second model based on the AMG.EA high-performance architecture, combining the commanding presence of a full-size SUV with the thrilling driving experience of a sports car. A sporty seating position, low centre of gravity and low, dynamic silhouette define its character without compromising the hallmark qualities of an SUV. Modern lightweight construction concepts and an intelligent vehicle design also provide the basis for compelling weight advantages. As in the recently unveiled AMG GT 4‑Door Coupé, three axial flux motors deliver exceptional performance in the top-of-the-range model. Its high-performance battery with integrated direct cooling also consistently advances the same technology concept: it enables sustained high power delivery while increasing charging power even further, to as much as 710 kW¹. The newly developed AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL+ suspension with active pitch and roll stabilisation combines sporting precision with supreme comfort. With this exceptional blend of performance, comfort and everyday usability, the Mercedes‑AMG GT SUV sets a new benchmark in its segment. An immersive sound experience featuring the authentic sound of a V8 or six-cylinder engine completes the intense AMG driving experience.
The 2026 Kia K4 Hatchback makes its official debut in Los Angeles this week, where urban streets, high-speed freeways, and mountain roads such as the iconic Angeles Crest Highway highlight the K4 Hatchback’s composed handling, agile maneuverability, and versatile design. With expanded cargo flexibility, generous interior space, and a shorter overall length that enhances confidence behind the wheel, the K4 Hatchback is engineered to adapt seamlessly to the real-world demands of driving in and around LA. Offered in EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo trims, the K4 Hatchback started arriving in showrooms this month. Pricing for the EX starts at $24,990; the GT-Line starts at $25,990; and the GT-Line Turbo at $28,890. Drawing from the bold proportions and wide stance of the K4 sedan, the K4 Hatchback carves out its own identity with a striking floating roof design that seamlessly extends into the rear hatch. Its fluid, athletic profile enhances its dynamic presence while embodying Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy. Despite having a more compact footprint than its counterpart, the K4 Hatchback preserves the sedan’s class-leading rear legroom while adding an extra inch of rear headroom, making it a class leader in both areas. Its versatile cargo space further boosts utility with 22.2 cu. ft. of room behind the rear seats, expanding to 59.3 cu. ft. with the seats folded flat. Carrying over key design elements from the sedan, the K4 Hatchback features the vertical LED headlights and taillights inspired by the award-winning EV9. Hidden rear door handles integrated into the C-pillar further accentuate its hatchback proportions, reinforcing its athletic and muscular profile. Adding to its distinct identity, the K4 Hatchback is available in an exclusive Sparkling Yellow exterior color.
