The 2026 Kia K4 Hatchback makes its official debut in Los Angeles this week, where urban streets, high-speed freeways, and mountain roads such as the iconic Angeles Crest Highway highlight the K4 Hatchback’s composed handling, agile maneuverability, and versatile design. With expanded cargo flexibility, generous interior space, and a shorter overall length that enhances confidence behind the wheel, the K4 Hatchback is engineered to adapt seamlessly to the real-world demands of driving in and around LA. Offered in EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo trims, the K4 Hatchback started arriving in showrooms this month. Pricing for the EX starts at $24,990; the GT-Line starts at $25,990; and the GT-Line Turbo at $28,890. Drawing from the bold proportions and wide stance of the K4 sedan, the K4 Hatchback carves out its own identity with a striking floating roof design that seamlessly extends into the rear hatch. Its fluid, athletic profile enhances its dynamic presence while embodying Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy. Despite having a more compact footprint than its counterpart, the K4 Hatchback preserves the sedan’s class-leading rear legroom while adding an extra inch of rear headroom, making it a class leader in both areas. Its versatile cargo space further boosts utility with 22.2 cu. ft. of room behind the rear seats, expanding to 59.3 cu. ft. with the seats folded flat. Carrying over key design elements from the sedan, the K4 Hatchback features the vertical LED headlights and taillights inspired by the award-winning EV9. Hidden rear door handles integrated into the C-pillar further accentuate its hatchback proportions, reinforcing its athletic and muscular profile. Adding to its distinct identity, the K4 Hatchback is available in an exclusive Sparkling Yellow exterior color.

The new engine lineup gives the GLE Coupé a more nimble driving feel. From a standstill, the models are even more agile and offer improved pulling power on country roads. At the same time, the engines are already designed to meet future emissions standards and—maintaining the characteristically high standard of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) comfort—deliver that signature Mercedes-Benz experience. The plug-in hybrid model is now based on a six-cylinder engine. It achieves an all-electric range of over 100 kilometers, allowing a great many everyday journeys to be completed in electric-only mode. To ensure the highest level of assistance, every GLE Coupé is equipped with an impressive array of sensors: ten external cameras, along with up to five radar sensors and 12 ultrasonic sensors, precisely monitor the vehicle's surroundings. This sensor suite works in tandem with a powerful control unit running MB.OS. This liquid-cooled, high-performance processor provides ample reserve capacity for future assistance functions. Artificial intelligence processes the sensor data to interpret the surrounding traffic situation. In Europe, MB.DRIVE Standard3 comes as part of the standard equipment, providing advanced assistance features such as the DISTRONIC Active Distance Assist. Depending on the market, the MB.DRIVE ASSIST package offers further, more extensive assistance functions that make driving even more relaxed and composed. The MB.DRIVE PARKING ASSIST system identifies potential parking spaces more effectively and, at a speed of 5 km/h, parks the vehicle approximately 60 percent faster than the previous system.
