The new BMW 5 Series Touring offers an expanded space and especially in the rear a noticeable increase in legroom, shoulder room, and elbow room as well as optimized acoustic comfort. With its variably usable interior and numerous intelligent functions, it convinces on trips as well as in handling transport tasks in everyday life and leisure. A widened luggage compartment opening, in combination with the low loading edge, allows for comfortable stowage of large luggage items. Regardless of their drive technology, all versions of the new BMW 5 Series Touring have a luggage compartment volume that can be expanded from 570 to up to 1,700 liters. In addition to the automatic tailgate operation, the remote unlocking of the 40:20:40 split rear seat backrest from the trunk is part of the standard equipment. Storage compartments under the cargo floor provide space for the luggage compartment partition net, the cargo cover, and the charging cable of the fully electric and plug-in hybrid models.
