Mercedes-Benz DRIVE PILOT - Automatic Lane Change

Mercedes-Benz introduces the production-ready version of DRIVE PILOT in the USA - the world's first SAE Level 3 system with internationally valid system approval for highly automated driving. DRIVE PILOT will be orderable through participating Mercedes-Benz dealers in California and Nevada for EQS and S-Class. The first vehicles are expected to make their debut on the freeways of these two states by the end of 2023. The hardware for DRIVE PILOT will be pre-installed in selected EQS and S-Class models from the factory. Customers can activate the system via the Mercedes me connect Store in the USA for $2,500 (additional pricing options will be announced at a later date). Due to the continuous software integration development, Mercedes-Benz offers DRIVE PILOT as a subscription to its customers in the USA. This allows them to flexibly choose the options that best suit their individual needs. For example, if a customer moves to another state or an area without access to Level 3-capable freeways, there is the option not to renew the subscription.

Chevrolet expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the new, all-electric 2022 Bolt EUV, alongside the redesigned 2022 Bolt EV. Distinguished by unique exterior designs, including an SUV-like proportion for the new Bolt EUV, each is propelled by the proven technology that helped make the Bolt EV the industry’s first affordable, long-range electric vehicle — and both are part of General Motors’ plan to launch 30 new EVs globally by 2025. Along with broadening the brand’s electric vehicle lineup, the Bolt EUV will also be the first Chevrolet vehicle to offer Super Cruise1, the industry’s first true hands-free driver assistance system for enabled roads. Chevrolet is also making charging more convenient with a new Dual Level Charge Cord, which, for many customers, will eliminate the need to purchase a separate charger for their home. It has a changeable plug that allows the customer to plug into a standard 120-volt three-prong outlet for Level charging and a 240-volt outlet for Level 2 charging up to 7.2 kilowatts. The new Dual Level Charge Cord is standard with Bolt EUV and is available for Bolt EV. For maximum Level 2 charging speed, both vehicles are now capable of 11 kW Level 2 charging, but separate charging equipment (not included) is required.

The all-new, sixth-generation Nissan MICRA will return to the B-segment in 2025 as a fully-connected, pure EV with an audacious new look. Combining an assertive personality with zero-emission mobility, the All-New MICRA will stay true to its distinct character as a stylish and unpretentious car, which has underpinned its popularity and success as an iconic compact model across five generations and more than 40 years. Its arrival signals the next major step in Nissan’s bold product offensive in Europe, where the company will introduce four new fully-electric models by 2027 as part of its push towards electrification. These include the All-New MICRA, followed by the LEAF, JUKE, and an A-Segment model, as well as the upgraded third generation of Nissan’s unique e-POWER technology – to be rolled out on the best-selling Nissan Qashqai. Designed at Nissan’s Design Europe (NDE) in London, the All-New MICRA boasts a refreshed and distinctive new exterior look – combining a premium exterior finish and a ton of attitude with an SUV-like design, simple and uncluttered surfaces, and subtle details throughout. Offering a sense of purpose and an assertive new look, the model brings together careful design aspects that give it a robust and solid stance – including pronounced wheel arches and a distinctive lower lip that suggests a lower centre of gravity, and a car ready to tackle all types of streets. All-New MICRA grades will come with 18” wheels, with three different options depending on grade: “active” wheel covers, “Iconic” and “Sport” alloy wheel designs. That large wheel dimension, combining with the dark wheel arch trim, contributes to the All-New MICRA’s strong and solid stance on the road.
