The new generation of the iDrive operating system, used for the first time in a BMW compact segment model, is based on BMW Operating System 8. As standard, it includes the BMW Curved Display with a modern graphic display and menu structure, as well as the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant with enhanced capabilities. The fully digital display network comprises the 10.25-inch Information Display and the Control Display with a diagonal of 10.7 inches. The new BMW iDrive is consistently geared toward intuitive touch operation and voice control. The new My Modes combine individually selected vehicle settings with corresponding interior experience worlds. The cloud-based navigation system BMW Maps can be optionally supplemented with the Augmented View function on the Control Display. An interior camera enables snapshots of the occupants as well as the transfer of interior images to the customer's smartphone. In addition, the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer can use a Personal eSIM designed for the new 5G mobile communications standard, BMW ID for individualizing the user experience, and further optimized smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Honda revealed the 2022 Civic Hatchback tonight, the latest addition to the all-new 11th-generation Civic lineup. Building on the 2022 Civic Sedan that arrived in Honda dealerships earlier this month, the most fun-to-drive Civic Hatchback ever combines striking, Euro-inspired exterior styling and five-door versatility with an even sportier driving experience. Available with a 6-speed manual transmission, Civic Hatchback is designed to meet the needs of young, active buyers. It will be built in the U.S. for the first time, with production to begin later this year atHonda's Greensburg, Indiana auto plant.
The new Kia Sorento, recently awarded the “Golden Steering Wheel 2020” in the “Large SUVs” class, is also one of the outstanding models in its segment when it comes to safety. In the official European safety test Euro NCAP it now received the top rating of "5 stars". The Kia flagship achieved high scores in the individual test categories: 82 percent for occupant protection for adults, 85 percent for occupant protection for children, 63 percent for pedestrian protection and 87 percent for driver support through safety systems. The test result applies to all three drive variants including the Sorento Plug-in Hybrid, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2021 and can already be ordered now. The fourth generation of the Kia SUV has been on the market as a hybrid gasoline and diesel engine since October.
