The new BMW X3 and the new BMW X4 - hybrid technology for all engines

The new BMW X3 and the new BMW X4 rely on increasing electrification with modern hybrid technology for all seven drives available in Germany. In addition to the BMW X3 xDrive30e with plug-in hybrid drive, which has been in production since December 2019, all four- and six-cylinder engines in the two series now use 48-volt mild hybrid technology. After the three available diesel units had already been converted to the mild hybrid system in the course of 2020, the three gasoline engines are now also equipped with the technology with a 48-volt starter generator, which ensures even better performance with lower consumption and, at the same time, increased driving comfort cares.
