The existing range of optional equipment and the still growing range of Original BMW Motorrad accessories offer many possibilities for customizing the R 18 and R 18 Classic according to your own preferences. With the introduction of the Option 719 parts, BMW Motorrad is now adding features that enable highest-level bike customisation based on historical roots. After all, the internal code "719" at BMW Motorrad already stood for particularly high-quality and exclusive special equipment, unusual special requests and unique items decades ago. The new Option 719 parts will be available from September 2021.
The new BMW 540i xDrive Sedan - The exterior design
"The exterior design of the BMW 5 Series is characterized by sporty elegance and a clear surface design. With precise modifications, the presence and stylish sportiness of the Sedan and Touring model in particular are now expressed even more intensively. The BMW kidney has gained in width and height, now extends further down into the front apron and is framed by a one-piece frame. With their now flatter contours, the headlights present the focused look typical of BMW in a modern interpretation. Two side-by-side U-shaped or optionally L-shaped daytime running light sources create a precise, modern light graphic. New full-LED headlights including Adaptive Bend Lighting, BMW Selective Beam glare-free high beam with Matrix technology and High Beam Assist are offered as optional equipment. Likewise, BMW Laser Light is now available for all BMW 5 Series model variants. In both optional headlight variants, the outer daytime running lights also take over the function of the direction indicators in each case. Black surrounds and new L-shaped graphics also give the taillights of the new BMW 5 Series a particularly striking appearance. The taillight and brake light are integrated into a common illuminant, which for the first time forms a single unit with the strongly three-dimensionally modeled exterior light lens. Regardless of equipment line and engine, all models in the new BMW 5 Series are now equipped with trapezoidal tailpipe trims."
The Ferrari SF90 Stradale Assetto Fiorano has set the fastest lap recorded by a production car at the 2.439-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, lapping the circuit at an impressive 1:29.625 seconds at a maximum speed of 174.6 mph to set this time. “It was a great moment to witness, seeing how the impressive performance of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale put down this lap record on July 15,” says Mark Raffauf, Senior Director of Race Operations at International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), which oversaw the test. “The Indianapolis Motor Speedway was built in 1909 to be a proving ground for automobiles of all makes, and we have remained true to that DNA since. Whether it is competing in purpose-built race cars or setting new standards in production cars, the historic 2.5-mile oval and the challenging road course at IMS continue to be automotive development and performance catalysts like none other. Across 112 years of history, we’ve always been excited to be part of these important milestones,” said IMS president J. Douglas Boles. The new Ferrari SF90 Stradale is the most powerful Prancing Horse ever, and its first series-production PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle). This new model is extreme on every level and represents a true paradigm shift because it delivers unprecedented performance for a production car. Figures such as 1,000 cv, and a weight-to-power ratio of 1.57 kg/cv, and 390 kg of downforce at 250 km/h not only put the SF90 Stradale at the top of its segment, but also mean that a V8 is the top-of-the-range model for the first time in the marque’s history.
