World Cup hero Andreas Brehme dies at the age of 63

Andreas Brehme, the 1990 World Cup winner, has died at the age of 63. His partner confirmed that he had suffered a cardiac arrest. Brehme achieved fame when he scored the decisive goal for Germany against Argentina in the final of the 1990 World Cup. The former international had a successful career, playing for clubs such as 1. FC Kaiserslautern, FC Bayern Munich and Inter Milan. After his playing career, he worked as a coach, including for 1. FC Kaiserslautern and SpVgg Unterhaching.
