Toddler rescued after plunging down lift shaft in Russia

On November 8, 2025, in Voronezh, Russia, a toddler fell six feet down a lift shaft after the elevator door suddenly gave way. CCTV footage shows the child's father leaping in to rescue him while the mother illuminated the dark shaft with her phone. Thanks to quick action and help from neighbours, the boy escaped with only minor injuries as authorities launched an investigation.
