Cristiano Ronaldo broke the record for the most goals in a single season of the Saudi professional league with his 35th goal. Ronaldo, who also won the Golden Shoe this season, scored two goals in Al-Nassr's 4-2 victory over Al-Ittihad in the last game of the season. The 39-year-old thus broke the record of former Al-Nassr striker Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018/19 season. Ronaldo said after the game: "I do not follow the records, the records follow me" and has now scored 64 goals in 69 games for Al-Nassr. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has scored 765 goals in his career, playing for clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus Turin. Ronaldo also holds the record for goals in men's international matches with 128 goals in 206 games for Portugal. Al-Nassr finished the season in second place for the second consecutive time and is 14 points behind champions Al-Hilal, who remained unbeaten.
