Long journeys and extended waiting times - Bavaria's emergency departments are overwhelmed. Many emergency departments in smaller hospitals have to close due to being economically unviable. The situation is also tense at the Klinikum in Fürth.

The Spanish meteorological services are forecasting unusual high temperatures, particularly in the Sevilla region, where thermometers could reach over 40 degrees Celsius.
