Kim Jong Un called for more intensive preparations for war at the annual meeting of the Workers' Party in Pyongyang on Wednesday. The North Korean ruler cited "attempts at confrontation" by the USA as the background. Pyongyang also wants to expand cooperation with "anti-imperialist" and "independent" countries by 2024.
