Flooded roadways and railways in Paris during storm
Lightning flashes in the skies over Paris before a violent thunderstorm strikes the capital, causing partial flooding of an RER train station. In all, fifty-seven of the country's departements are under orange vigilance for thunderstorms, on the 7th day of an early national heatwave in which the 40°C mark has once again been passed, according to Météo-France, which is forecasting “violent phenomena over a very broad central axis of the country”.
