Aichelberg (pol) - On Saturday around 16:05 clock, a 39-year-old man with his VW Golf drove the highway from Weilheim in the direction of Aichelberg. At the freeway junction Aichelberg he wanted to drive on the freeway in the direction of Munich. He had to turn left and failed to notice that a 36-year-old man in a Skoda was coming towards him. A collision occurred at the junction. As a result of the collision, the Skoda was pushed onto a waiting Volvo. The person who caused the accident was slightly injured. His 30-year-old female passenger, the driver, and three passengers in the Skoda (ages 2, 4, and 36) were seriously injured. All injured persons were brought to surrounding hospitals for further treatment by the ambulance service. In total, the three vehicles suffered property damage of around 21,000 euros. The VW and the Skoda were in addition no longer drivable and had to be towed away. Due to a large contingent of the fire department and the rescue service, there were considerable traffic obstructions in the area of the accident site.
