Heidelberg: Suspicious suitcase found in pedestrian zone - police cordon off area

A suspicious suitcase was found in Heidelberg's old town early Tuesday afternoon. The suitcase had been placed on the statue "The Newspaper Reader" in the Hauptstrasse, corner of St. Anna-Gasse. The main road between Bismarckplatz and Neugasse was then cordoned off by the police. The shops were vacated.
