Sparkling wine with dinner? The ProWein trends of 2019
The year 2017 was catastrophic for vintners - on average 25% crop failure, some vintners were hit even harder. Then 2018 was a record hot summer, which also taught some farmers the meaning of fear - the rain didn’t come and no amount of watering was going to replace it. However - only very young vines without deep roots were affected - in the end, the fear of another crop failure was unfounded. After a good harvest it is now time to take a look at the trends concerning wine.
