Cinemas in crisis: Subscription system to lure visitors back to movie theaters

Many cinemas in the north are fighting for survival. The long closure during the Corona pandemic has taken its toll on them, and even now, after the reopening, many visitors continue to stay at home. The extensive streaming offer is also a reason why movie theaters remain empty. To counteract this, the Schleswig-Holstein cinema association is planning a subscription system for cinemas. It will cost 20 euros a month. The model comes from the Netherlands.
