Sergei Surovikin: Vladimir Putin's right-hand man

The name Surovikin is now mentioned just as often as Putin's in reports on the war in Ukraine. General Sergei Surovikin is considered the right-hand man of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He is also popularly known as "General Armageddon". Nevertheless, serious accusations have been made against the general. Surovikin has already been imprisoned twice. He is accused of having committed war crimes in Syria. However, none of this has prevented Putin from reappointing him to an important post in the Russian army.
