A will is intended to regulate inheritance. But if certain formalities are disregarded, the validity can be lost. A will is supposed to regulate the inheritance. But if certain formalities are disregarded, its validity can be lost. According to German law, the bequeather must write a handwritten will, otherwise it is invalid. The authenticity of the document is thus checked on the basis of the individual writing.
