The diversity of species in lakes and rivers in Schleswig-Holstein is steadily declining. There are many reasons for this. Dammed rivers or excessive nitrate inputs are endangering animals and plants. But something is being done to improve the situation. The Schleswig-Holstein State Angling Association is working to strengthen the stock of sea trout in the rivers.
