The Honda CBR500R

The entry-level bike in Honda's CBR supersport family has also been significantly upgraded for the 2024 model year. Inspired by the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, the CBR500R design includes a fairing with aero winglets for an improved front-end feel, as well as new LED headlights and a new rear light. The A2-compliant twin-cylinder engine, renowned for beautiful refinement and reliable operation, produces 48 hp, is equipped with an assist anti-hopping clutch and benefits from new HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control) traction control and ECU updates to improve acceleration. The chassis shines with a Showa 41 mm SFF-BP USD fork and a double disc brake at the front with radially mounted four-piston brake callipers. The Honda RoadSync system is integrated into the 5-inch full-color TFT cockpit display. This provides full connectivity and access to smartphone functions (iOS and Android) - for easy navigation, phone calls, text messages, listening to music and weather information. Operation is via a backlit 4-way switch unit on the left-hand side of the handlebar.
