The stage is set for a new body shape from the Volkswagen brand: With the new compact crossover Taigo, Volkswagen is launching an SUV coupé on the European market for the first time. The front-wheel drive Taigo is a real crowd-pleaser with its trendy crossover body style, raised seating positions, pioneering connectivity and unrestricted suitability for everyday use. The rear of the five-seater car slopes backwards in the style of a coupé, without restricting headroom in the back seat. This sees Volkswagen expand the portfolio of the compact Polo (hatchback) and T-Cross (SUV) models built on the MQB platform with a third chassis variant, which has previously been primarily reserved for high-end models. Numerous latest-generation assistance systems guarantee optimum comfort and a high level of safety for all passengers.

Efficient, emotive and electrifying – these attributes neatly sum up the ENYAQ iV. In launching its first all-electric SUV, the Czech car manufacturer has taken the biggest step yet in its electromobility strategy. The new ENYAQ iV is the first ŠKODA production model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular electric car platform. It is built at ŠKODA’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav, making it the only MEB-based model in Europe to be manufactured outside of Germany. ŠKODA’s new flagship boasts generous amounts of space as is typical of the brand, and – thanks to its emotive design language – its appearance is electrifying too. Inside, new Design Selections replace the classic trim levels, while a clear and new structure of the options available means the car can be configured with just a few clicks. The ENYAQ iV comes with rear- or all-wheel drive, and there are five power levels and three battery sizes to choose from. The range of more than 520 km in the WLTP cycle is perfectly suitable for travelling long distances. The car will be launched in the spring of 2021.
Aiways continues to accelerate its growth plans, focused on launching new markets, new products and sustainable mobility, improving the user experience, and developing the brand's digital skills. Aiways bases its growth plans on the introduction of a new model per year, and in 2022 it is the turn of the SUV coupé U6. The U6ion is a very close replica of the final model, whose production is about to start at the state-of-the-art facility in Shangrao, China. The U6ion, conceived from the outset as a coupé, exhibits sporty and vigorous lines. The fastback-style roof profile integrates a dome-shaped glazing surface that ends in a sharp-edged C-pillar. The flared rear end accentuates the visual play that starts from the prominent front fender, which incorporates a series of functional aerodynamic elements. The exclusive design of the LED headlights is combined with a daytime running light system that includes position lights and indicators. Beneath each headlight is a separate air intake that directs the flow to the braking system for cooling.
