The engine range of the new Fiat Tipo has been further optimized. A petrol engine and a turbodiesel are available in two output levels for the market launch. The gasoline engine GSE 1.0 T3 is a 74 kW (100 PS) three-cylinder from the FireFly engine family, which combines lower fuel consumption and emissions. The engine produces a maximum torque of 190 Newton meters at just 1,500 tours. For comparison: the previous 1.4-liter petrol engine delivers this torque at 4,500 revolutions per minute. The new three-cylinder ensures a high level of driving pleasure and, thanks to the advantageous torque curve, offers optimum acceleration capacity even at low speeds. The gear ratio ensures optimal responsiveness in city traffic and a high level of comfort on the motorway. At a cruising speed of 130 km / h, the speed is only 3,200 rpm
