In addition to a 390 kW/530 hp V8 engine in the top model BMW M550i xDrive Sedan, the new BMW 5 Series offers a choice of three petrol and three diesel engines with a power spectrum ranging from 135 kW/184 hp to 250 kW/340 hp. The efficiency of the gasoline engines is optimized by means of gasoline direct injection operating at increased pressure. The two-stage turbocharging now used in all diesel engines increases spontaneous power delivery. All engines are combined as standard with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission. The intelligent all-wheel drive BMW xDrive is available as standard or as an option for all model variants with the exception of the entry-level petrol engine.

The TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team traveled to the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia this week, where they successfully completed their last tests before the start of the next season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The No. 36 and No. 99 Porsche 99X Electrics have driven a total of 1,522 kilometers during their test program. The first appointment of the seventh season will take place on January 16 and 17, 2021 in Santiago de Chile. The twelve teams, with a total of 24 drivers, have attended this official Formula E test, which took place in Valencia for the fourth time. With official drivers André Lotterer (Germany / # 36) and Pascal Wehrlein (Germany / # 99), the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E team took to the track during the five scheduled sessions, to put the Porsche 99X Electric to the test for the last time before the start of the new season. Many elements of electric cars have been developed during the rest phase. In addition, this year Porsche will have a completely new electric powertrain.

The new RAV4 PHEV aims to boost the fun-to-drive appeal of RAV4, adopting the newly developed Toyota Hybrid System (THS II). The front motor and inverter achieve more powerful output than the RAV4 hybrid system, and the combination with the new model, high-capacity, high-output lithium-ion battery achieves maximum system output of 225 kW, facilitating sporty, powerful driving. It also achieves a BEV driving range of 95 kilometers, top level in its class, for greater driving pleasure in BEV mode, thus also realizing superior environmental friendliness.
