The SEAT Leon e-HYBRID - Daily journeys of up to 60 kilometers - E-mode

Hybrid vehicles start in electric mode as standard, which they maintain until the battery is exhausted. Without the driver having to make a selection, the combustion engine then takes over. Such a switch is also made if the vehicle requires more power or exceeds a certain speed. "The SEAT Leon e-HYBRID can be driven up to a speed of 130 km/h in electric mode," says Gerhard Lux, Head of Hybrid and Electric Drive Development at SEAT. "It is suitable for daily journeys of 50 to 60 kilometers, both in urban areas and on highways. The vehicle would then be exclusively in electric mode".
