Colorful rockets and loud firecrackers are part of New Year's Eve for many. The cities of Fürth and Ansbach point out that according to explosives law, fireworks may not be fired in the immediate vicinity of churches, hospitals, children's homes and homes for the elderly. The prohibited zone also includes fire-sensitive buildings or facilities, such as half-timbered houses. In Ansbach, this applies to the entire old town area, among other places. Fireworks may only be set off on December 31 and January 1 by persons older than 18 years. In addition, the public is asked to dispose of the remains of rockets and firecrackers and thus contribute to safe and clean streets. Violations of the explosives law, fulfill the facts of an administrative offense and can be punished with a fine. The City of Nuremberg has not yet commented on the prohibited zones this year.
