Folk musicians Marianne and Michael Hartl retire

"We no longer want to sacrifice our golden years for our careers." Folk musicians Marianne and Michael Hartl will soon be retiring from the big stage. After 45 years in the limelight, the couple are retiring. "We want to live! I'll be 71, Michael 75. Many friends and colleagues are dying around us." The couple also want to take better care of Michael, who had a serious heart attack in 2022. They want to continue their passion for music in private by singing with their children and grandchildren. But they don't want it to be boring. Marianne and Michael have an adventurous to-do list to work through: They want to go golfing, motor boating and traveling.
