Alleman and van Doorn are the new overall winners of the Mediterranean Epic 2024

The 4th and final stage of the Mediterranean Epic 2024, with 52 km and just over 1,000 climbing meters, left little room for error. Wout Alleman (BEL) and Rosa van Doorn (NED) took off as leaders and were able to confirm their overall victory. Among the men, leader Wout Alleman (BEL) took the lead on the first technical descent and controlled the pace effortlessly. In the last big descent of the day, German Georg Egger takes command, sets a tremendous pace and crosses the finish line first. This confirms his 2nd place in the overall classification. Wout Alleman crosses the finish line in 2nd place, making him the winner of the Mediterranean Epic 2024. The Swiss Marc Stutzmann crosses the finish line in 3rd place, which also makes him 3rd overall. The women's race starts with a 1 minute gap between the Dutch Rosa van Doorn & the American Hannah Otto. Eventually the two riders reach the final meters together with Colombian Mónica Calderón. Hannah Otto is the fastest and takes her second stage win in a row and 2nd place in the overall classification. Rosa van Doorn crosses the finish line in 3rd place, making her the winner.
