Mercedes-Benz - Special high-voltage safety concept

Mercedes-Benz has developed a multi-stage high-voltage protection concept for its electric vehicles. It includes eight essential elements for the safety of the battery and all components with a voltage level of more than 60 volts. These include, for example, separate positive and negative cables and a self-monitoring high-voltage system that switches off automatically in the event of a serious collision. In many cases, the high internal safety specifications go beyond the legal requirements or those of consumer protection organizations. Mercedes-Benz has once again impressively demonstrated this with the current crash test.
