Change of throne in Denmark: Queen Margrethe II hands over to Frederik X.

After more than five decades on the Danish throne, Queen Margrethe II passes the crown on to her eldest son Frederik. The 83-year-old announced the move in her New Year's address at a time when the crown prince and princess were making headlines due to rumors of a marital crisis.
