Smoke rises from north Gaza as Israel says ceasefire renewed after strikes

Smoke rises in northern Gaza, seen from southern Israel, as the Israeli military says it has reinstated the Gaza ceasefire after carrying out a series of strikes on dozens of militant targets since Tuesday. Gaza's civil defence agency says the overnight air strikes killed at least 50 people with 22 children were among those killed, as well as women and the elderly, and that around 200 people were wounded.
