German team arrives at new Maddie search site in Portugal
A German team heads to the southern Portuguese site where a new search is taking place for Madeleine McCann, the British toddler who disappeared from an apartment in Praia da Luz 18 years ago. The investigations are expected to last until Friday and are being conducted under a mandate issued by the public prosecutor's office in Brunswick in northern Germany, which is leading a preliminary investigation against Christian Brückner, who is suspected by German authorities of killing the girl.
