Spotify, the Swedish music streaming service, reportedly experienced an outage for thousands of users worldwide, with the company confirming that there are currently "some issues." Users have been reporting crashes of the app since this afternoon, while others are having trouble logging into their accounts. The problem seems to affect both Apple and Android users and only impacts songs that were not previously downloaded. According to the real-time outage tracker Downdetector, more than 20,000 users in the US and parts of Europe have reported issues with the music platform. The streaming service has addressed the issue on the social media platform X, stating: "We are aware of some issues and are currently investigating them!" App users have reported that when opening the app, three dots appeared along with a message that reads: "Something went wrong. Try again?" accompanied by a reload button. To the disappointment of Spotify listeners, it is uncertain how long it will take for the service to be available again. Users on X have expressed their concerns about the app issues on social media, with some even threatening to switch to Apple Music. The music streaming giant founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon in Stockholm has over 675 million users worldwide.
