Source: AFP (Glomex)

After tough negotiations, the UN climate conference reached a new framework for international financing of climate protection and adaptation to climate impacts in the early hours of Sunday. According to the agreement, the annual contribution, primarily from industrialized countries, should be increased to at least $300 billion by 2035. However, developing countries criticized this as inadequate. UN climate chief Simon Stiell acknowledged that the final deal was imperfect and stated, "no country got everything they wanted".
