The new BMW M2 features a driver-oriented cockpit that includes M-specific display content, control units and setup settings as well as the advanced BMW Curved Display. Driving-relevant information including shift lights in a new graphic display is shown on the 12.3-inch Information Display. The 14.9-inch Control Display can show M-specific widgets on vehicle setup and tire condition, among other things. The optional BMW Head-Up Display also offers M-specific displays. Like the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, the BMW Curved Display is part of the latest generation of BMW iDrive. It is based on BMW Operating System 8 and has been consistently designed for intuitive interaction between the driver and the vehicle by means of touch control and natural language. The new BMW iDrive enables personalization with the BMW ID and the My BMW app as well as the use of a Personal eSIM in the vehicle. Smartphone integration for Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ also comes as standard in the new BMW M2. A 5G-capable antenna system ensures optimized connectivity.
